2 killed as car hits truck in Jodhpur dist

Jodhpur: Two persons were killed and another seriously injured when a car in which they were travelling hit a stone-laden truck from rear near Sekhala under Shergarh police station in Jodhpur on Jodhpur-Jaisalmer highway on Friday.Two of the passengers died on the spot while third passenger was rushed to MDM Hospital in Jodhpur where he is battling for life at the Trauma Centre. The deceased have been identified as a businessman from Jodhpur Manoj Kankaria (50) and his manager Ishwar Singh Meratia (40), while the injured has been identified as Ritik Kankaria (24). He is son Kankaria.According to Sekhala chowki in-charge Mangilal Sankhla, Kankaria was going to Jaisalmer on a business tour in his car. His manager Singh and son Ritik had been accompanying him. The speed of the car was so high that half of the car was completely mangled. “Ritik was driving the car. When they reached near a petrol pump at about 1.45pm, their car smashed into a truck, loaded with stone, from behind at a very high speed,” said Sankhla. TNN

Six killed as speeding car rams into truck in Haryana

Six people were killed when a speeding car crashed into a parked truck in Haryana. The incident occurred late at night when the car was traveling from Bhungla village to Behel. The car collided with the truck, resulting in the deaths of all five car occupants and the truck attendant. The car was believed to be speeding, while the truck did not have its parking lights on or use reflectors. Villagers used gas cutters and cranes to rescue the car occupants. Woman killed after speeding car hits her in Mumbai

A homemaker in Mumbai lost her life after being hit by a speeding car while attempting to cross a highway. The driver fled the scene after the accident. The victim's legs got trapped in the car's wheel, causing her to lose consciousness and sustain head and ear injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries. The police are using CCTV footage to identify the driver. A case has been filed against the unknown person under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicle Act.
