JAMMU: Police on Monday said that two

missing girls have been recovered

and reunited with families in

Reasi district in Jammu region

of Union Territory.

Reasi Police

said that Mohd Hanief, son of Akbar Ali, a resident of Channa tehsil in Chassana Reasi, reported at Police Station Chassana that his 18-year old daughter (name withheld) is missing from home following which a case was registered and search launched.

“Enquiries from the family, relatives and friends gave sufficient clues of the missing girl and accordingly the police network was activated,” police said.

Police said, “After meticulous track-following and consistent hectic efforts, the missing girl got intercepted while on way to Kashmir.”

“The girl has been reunited with the family within four hours of reporting to the Police Station," police added.

He said that in another incident a police team traced another missing girl from Khawas area of Rajouri adjoining district Reasi and reunited her with family following a complaint was lodged by Muneer Hussain of Tulli father of girl who lodged missing report of his daughter at Police Station Chassana.

“After hectic efforts, a team of Police remained successful in tracing the missing girl. After completing all legal procedures, the girl is handed over to the family.”
