Mendhar/Jammu: Security forces discovered an improvised explosive device (IED) during a joint operation in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, according to officials.
The IED was found in the Sanai-Gursai forest area within the Mendhar sub-division, hidden inside a cavity concealed by boulders.
They said the IED was found hidden in a cavity covered by boulders, and a bomb disposal squad was summoned to neutralise it.
The officials stated that no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and the search operation in the area was ongoing at the time of the last reports.
