JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday busted a fake licence racket and arrested four people in Reasi district.
"Acting on a complaint in regard with the fake driving licences, Reasi police have busted a racket and four fraudsters involved in cheating too have been arrested," said Amit Gupta, Reasi senior superintendent of police.
"One of the arrested accused, idetified as Haq Nawaz, of Sarh-Mahore said he had applied for driving license and for this he came in contact with a group of agents who took Rs 35,000 from him for providing the same".
SSP Reasi Gupta said, "A case was registered at Reasi police station and investigation is under way".
"Police team swung into action and on the identification of the complainant, arrested one Rajesh Kumar alias Happy of Panassa Tehsil Thakrakote".
He said, "During investigations, police arrested one Sham Lal alias Shamu of Vijaypur who cheated the complainant of Rs 35,000 for making driving license".
