4th-gen Abdullahs rally for NC

Jammu: The fourth generation of the Abdullah family — Omar Abdullah’s sons Zahir and Zamir — were the main attraction at a roadshow organised on Jammu’s outskirts for National Conference (NC) candidate Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, who is contesting from Jammu North assembly segment, on Tuesday.
The siblings — both lawyers by profession — sat atop a decorated vehicle alongside Sadhotra, wearing garlands, exchanging pleasantries and waving to supporters. They also shook hands with some in the crowd but didn’t interact with reporters. Congress’ (NC’s alliance partner) Mula Ram, former minister and party candidate from Marh constituency, and Uday Bhanu Chib were also present at the procession.
During his speech, Sadhotra accused BJP of pursuing divisive politics and spreading hatred in society. “NC believes in communal harmony,” he said, requesting people to vote for the NC-Congress coalition. Sadhotra urged voters to oust BJP from J&K, saying the party had brought only “miseries to the people over the past 10 years”.
