‘Two Hindustan is a comparison of India under UPA & NDA’
JAIPUR: BJP national spokesperson
He said that while terror attacks in major cities were order of the day during UPA, the Modi government not only took on the terrorists, but also targeted their origin.
He was addressing media here on Thursday. Rahul Gandhi, during his election rally in Rajasthan on Tuesday, while accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of crony capitalism, alleged that he is determined to create two Indias—one that belongs to the rich and the affluent, and another that belongs to the poor and the deprived.
Trivedi alleged that in Rahul’s Hindustan, terrorists commanded respect as the Hurriyat leaders were treated as sons-in-law, while in the BJP rule, they were put behind bars and are taken to task by the ED and NIA. While Congress’ India was helpless, the India under BJP emerged stronger, he claimed.
Calling the minimum income guarantee scheme announced by the Congress president a ‘poll stunt’, he asked that if the idea was so good, why the same was not implemented in Congress-ruled states in the first place?
Questioning the achievement of the Congress government in the state, he said the state government even failed to send the names of the Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries. The state government neither carried on with the Bhamashah health insurance scheme nor implemented the Ayushman scheme under which Rs five lakh medical coverage was provided to the poor.
He also alleged that the state government failed to implement the 10% Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) reservation in the state. He said under the 100 days of Congress government, “Navjawan hairan (youth is astonished), kisan pareshan (farmers are worried) rogi halkan (the ailing are harassed) and Akbar became great instead of Maharana Pratap.”
