RLP holds ‘aakrosh rally’ in Sikar over removal of Beniwal’s security, inflation

Jhunjhunu: Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) workers Monday held an Aakrosh Rally in Sikar, raising concerns over the withdrawal of party chief and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal’s security cover, deteriorating law and order, the NEET paper leak case, and rising inflation.

The rally began from the Dak Bungalow and culminated at the district collectorate, where party workers submitted an 11-point memorandum addressed to the President and the Governor through district authorities.

RLP leader Vikas criticised the reduction in Beniwal’s security arrangements and warned of protests during the proposed visit of the BJP state president to Sikar. During the demonstration, some workers attempted to enter the collectorate premises through the main gate, leading to a brief commotion before the situation was brought under control.

Party leaders said farmers, youth, traders, and common citizens were facing multiple challenges and accused the state govt of failing to address them effectively.

Among the key demands raised by the party were improvement in the law and order situation, stronger measures to curb crime and an impartial high-level investigation into the NEET paper leak case.

The memorandum also sought steps to control inflation and rising fuel prices, ensure regular and clean drinking water supply, and strengthen basic infrastructure such as roads, healthcare and electricity services.

RLP workers demanded cancellation of the proposed Greenfield Airport project at the Tarpura airstrip in Sikar and immediate release of pending crop insurance claims of farmers. Other demands included adequate supply of domestic LPG cylinders, a permanent solution to waterlogging and drainage issues in the Nani Bird area of Sikar, and creation of employment opportunities for youth.

The party also urged the state govt to improve the functioning of Nandishalas and take concrete steps for cattle welfare and protection.
