Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore gets EC notice over code violation
JAIPUR: Union minister and BJP candidate from Jaipur rural Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has been issued notice by EC for putting up wall paintings and posters with the pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and himself on those, in violation of model code of conduct (MCC).

“When the code of conduct is in force, one cannot publicise the achievements of the ruling government. When we found the wall paintings displaying the achievements of the ruling BJP in Amber area, we removed those paintings first,” said Jaipur Collector and District Election Officer (DEO) Jagroop Singh Yadav.
“We issued him notice yesterday (Friday) and sought his reply within seven days as to why did he put up those wall paintings when MCC is in force. We have also told him to pay up for the expenditure incurred in removal of those posters," he added.
