Rajasthan man slits wife’s throat, attempts to kill himself

JAISALMER: A 32-year-old man allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat during a dispute in Balotra district's Siwana area Saturday before attempting suicide by stabbing himself with the same knife, police said.

Siwana police station CI Chandra Singh identified the accused as Nitesh Kumar Jingar. Police said he called his wife Kanta, 30, to a lane near her maternal home at Jingaron Ka Vaas, where an argument broke out between them. During the altercation, Nitesh allegedly attacked Kanta with a knife, killing her on the spot.

After the incident, Nitesh allegedly stabbed himself in the throat and stomach.
