JAIPUR: Rajasthan High Court on Monday stayed the termination of a grade II nurse on the ground that his work experience was less than three years, thus, he could not claim 15

bonus points for selection

.

The single bench of Justice Ajay Rastogi, while staying the termination order, issued a notice to the government.

Sunil Kumar Jain, the counsel for the petitioner

Banwarial

said the petitioner had joined service on June 10 this year. But he was later terminated on the ground that the experience certificate tendered by him on February 28, 2013 indicated that he had worked on ad hoc basis through placement agency from March 2010 but later on (at time of joining) the certificate of experience that he provided showed that he had worked from April 2010, which is one month less than three years.

The government, therefore, said he was not eligible to seek 15 bonus marks that are given those who have three or more years of work experience. This disentitled him from being placed in the order of merit for being considered for appointment and his appointment was terminated without giving him a hearing.
