Govt giving best to complete Jal Jeevan projects: Gehlot

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot has said that the state government has left no stone unturned to complete the works of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) despite the adverse geographical condition of the state and has instructed the concerned the officials to increase the permanent sources of water in the state as long-term plan. “We had taken forward the work of JJM in a rapid pace. For effective implementation of the project all necessary steps have been adopted,” Gehlot said during a review meeting of JJM at his residence.Additional chief secretary of the department, Subodh Agarwal, said that at present Rajasthan is in the third position in terms providing services daily. On an average 7,142 connections had been provided on daily basis in February 2023. This is actually six times more than the connections the state provided on a average daily in March 2022. TNN
