Beniwal enters fray for Barmer LS seat

Jaisalmer: Umedaram Beniwal filed his nomination as Congress candidate for Barmer Lok Sabha seat on Wednesday. Addressing a public meeting after the nomination, former chief minister Ashok Gehlot said that the situation of the country was worrisome, with unemployment and inflation increasing and the gap between rich and poor widening. He said that America, Germany, and the UN had also expressed concern at the situation in India.

“This election is to save the Constitution and democracy. The slogan of 400+ seats by the BJP is to misguide the people. Modi is scared and people of BJP are also scared. The new government in Rajasthan is not working and is being run by remote from Delhi. Black laws have been made and hundreds of farmers have died staging dharna,” he said. Party leaders Sachin Pilot, Tikaram Jully, Hemaram Choudhary, Saleh Mohammad, and MLA Harish Choudhary were also present.
