Anganwadi workers to get 10-day June break after meeting targets
Jaipur: Anganwadi workers across Rajasthan will be eligible for 10 days of summer vacation in June after completing their monthly targets, according to a new order issued by the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) dept.
Officials said the Union govt has made it mandatory to distribute take-home rations and use the facial recognition system for various beneficiary services offered at anganwadi centres. Workers who achieve these targets for June will be allowed to take leave.
“If anganwadi workers and helpers wish to avail the 10-day summer vacation between June 1 and June 30, such leave should be sanctioned only after 100% distribution of take-home rations for June has been completed through the facial recognition system on the Poshan Tracker,” an order issued Monday stated.
Chhotelal Bunkar, national coordinator of the All India Anganwadi Employees Federation, said the provision for seasonal leave already exists.
“Anganwadi workers and helpers are entitled to leave during both summer and winter, provided it does not affect govt work. They generally coordinate with each other to ensure the anganwadi centre remains functional during the leave period,” he said.
