Youth, girl from Jhabua found dead in Ratlam, suicide suspected
Indore: A youth and a girl from Jhabua district were found dead by roadside in Ratlam district on Sunday afternoon. Police suspect that the two died after consuming a poisonous substance.
The incident came to light when passersby spotted a youth and a girl lying near Rupakheda Road under Bilpank police station limits in Ratlam, and alerted authorities.
Police reached the spot and found both dead. The deceased were identified as Rahjing Pargi (20), and Jyoti Gamad (19), both residents of Piplipada village in Gunawad tehsil of Jhabua.
Preliminary investigation pointed at the two being in a relationship. They had left their homes a day earlier. Their bodies were discovered around 3 pm on Sunday and later sent to Ratlam Medical College for postmortem examination.
Bilpank police station in-charge Ayub Khan said that they were examining all aspects of the case. While initial findings suggest suicide by consuming of poisonous substance, the exact cause of death would be confirmed only after the postmortem report was received.
