Indore industrialists discuss investment opportunities with Thai delegation

Indore: Industrialists representing the Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh (AIMP) engaged in deliberations with a Thai delegation from the Thailand Board of Investment in Mumbai on Friday.The meeting focused on exploring prospective investments and reciprocal trade opportunities between India and Thailand, particularly in the sectors of pharmaceuticals, food processing, and minerals and metals.Yogesh Mehta, president of AIMP, underscored the strategic significance of Indore as a hub for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), emphasising that enhanced trade relations with Thailand could benefit both nations."Indore is home to a diverse spectrum of industries, and fostering mutual trade relations can create a win-win situation for both countries," Mehta said.The Thai delegation, headed by Nakrisorn Klaikeow, director and consul (investment) at the Thailand Board of Investment, showcased various incentive schemes offered by the Thai government, which aim to promote industrial investment and manufacturing. These initiatives position Thailand as a secure and advantageous destination for long-term investments.During the discussions, the delegation provided insights into Thailand's policies on exports and manufacturing, establishing groundwork for future collaborations. The delegation apprised the industrialists about the country's policies on exports and manufacturing."The productive exchange of ideas and strategies marks a promising venture towards strengthening economic ties and enhancing bilateral trade between India and Thailand," said Mehta.
