Madhya Pradesh honeytrap case: Date of framing charges extended to Jan 13

to January 13.

In-charge court extended the date because of absence of the judge allotted for hearing case of

Palasia police station

Chief judicial magistrate

Manish Bhatt

was promoted as additional district judge two weeks ago and the court became vacant since then. The accused were produced in the in-charge court through video conferencing.

On December 16, Palasia police had submitted 400-page chargesheet framing charges against eight people including six women for running a blackmailing racket to secure favours.

The charges against the accused -

Aarti Dayal

, 29,

Monica Yadav

, 19, Shweta Vijay Jain, 38, Shweta Swapnil Jain, 35, Barkha Soni, 35, Om Prakash, 45, and Rupa Ahirwar and Abhishek Thakur – include extortion, human trafficking, fraud, conspiracy, filming obscene videos and violating privacy of individuals.

Palasia police arrested Aarti Dayal, Monica Yadav and driver Omprakash from Vijay Nagar on September 17 on the complaint of suspended IMC executive engineer Harbhajan Singh. Bhopal police have arrested Shweta Vijay Jain, Shweta Swapnil Jain and Brakha Soni on September 18 in connection with the case.
