Covid-19: 3 die in Manipur, toll climbs to 35

IMPHAL: The

Covid-19 death toll

in Manipur rose to 35 after three persons, including a 60-year-old woman, succumbed to the virus at different hospitals in the last 24 hours.

Among them, the 60-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were from

Imphal East district

, while the third victim , aged 56, was a resident of

Thoubal

district, a

state health department

said on Friday, adding that they all had co-morbid health conditions.

The recovery rate in the state has climbed up to 73.13 per cent as 124 persons were discharged from Covid care centres after testing negative for the virus since Thursday night.

As the cumulative count of recovered cases in the state has gone up to 4,899, the total number of active cases has gone down to 1,765.
