Forest officials have now set up a base camp in the area to monitor the movement of the tigers after Adilabad district forest officer Rajasekhar inspected the places where they were sighted.

Earlier, officials found carcasses of two cattle after two farmers informed them about the tiger kill in Kuchulpapur and Palsi villages in Thalamadugu mandal. Villagers have been warned that the tigers should not be harmed and also told not venture out during night and return home from work by evening.

The tigers are believed to have crossed over from Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary in Maharashtra. Villages along Penganga in Maharashtra have also been alerted about tiger movement.

Last month, the sighting of a tiger on the fringes of the forest near Kosini, Ootpalli and Regulaguda villages in Kaghaznagar mandal, had triggered panic among locals. The tiger was spotted by farmers when moving along the fringes of the forest and in agriculture fields of the three villages.
