accidents in Meerpet and Zahirabad on Friday.

In an accident that occurred in Chiragpalle in Zahirabad, two persons died while five others sustained injuries. The deceased persons, Kranthi Kumar (27) and R Arun (24), were private employees and residents of Old Bowenpally. They were travelling from Mumbai to Hyderabad after a trip with five friends when the accident occurred.

In another case, a 39-year-old government school teacher died after her two-wheeler was hit by a truck.The victim was identified as Lalitha Kumari, a resident of Badangpet. An over-speeding truck hit her scooty from behind.

“The victim was not wearing a helmet while driving the vehicle. She fell from her scooter and died of a head injury,” said Meerpet SI, Anantha Ramulu. The truck driver fled from the spot.
