Telangana’s Johanna clinches silver

Hyderabad: Telangana’s Johanna Shiju won a silver medal in the sub-junior girls triathlon event at the Para ITF national championship at Gachibowli Stadium on Saturday. Nongamaithem Nelshi won gold and Eesha Pujari clinched bronze.

Rahil finishes third
City racer Sai Rahil Pillarisetty of Gusto Racing finished third in the Pro-Stock 301-400cc category at the first round of the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship at the Madra International Circuit. 17-year-old Sarthak Chavan led a 1-2 finish for TVS Racing along with Bengaluru’s Chiranth Vishwanath. The race was cut to four laps from scheduled six after a red flag stoppage following a Turn-3 crash and Sarthak took command on restart. Chiranth came in second.
Northern Command bag top honours
Northern Command clinched the Command Championship Trophy ahead of South Western Command and Southern Command, who finished second and third respectively, in the Corps of EME Sailing Regatta. M Dharemnder, who took second place in the ILCA 6 category, was awarded the most promising sailor trophy.

Vedant faces Vaibhav in final
Vedant Patel defeated Gurveer Singh 11-9, 11-3, 11-3 to enter the men’s final at the NMDC Telangana squash open. He will take on Vaibhav Chauhan, who downed Vedansh Kushwaha 11-8, 11-5, 9-11, 11-6.
