Hyderabad: In view of the heavy rush at sub-registrar offices (SROs), govt on Wednesday extended the timings of SRO offices till June 3. Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said from May 29 to June 3, SRO offices would function between 9.30am and 7.30pm.
The registrations increased in the state as the state govt is planning to revise market values of land parcels for property registrations soon. The minister instructed officials to ensure that people coming for registration do not have to wait for hours and that all arrangements be made to avoid any inconvenience.
“Govt aims to serve the public. Speed, transparency, and convenience are the three main goals in the registration process,” the minister said. Considering public needs, the minister directed officials to increase the number of slot bookings. He revealed that the govt was ready to extend working hours and days, if necessary, in light of registration demand.
The minister also stressed the need to coordinate with tahsildar offices, where agricultural land registrations occur, ensuring services were provided without delay. Srinivas Reddy issued special instructions to registrations department IG Rajeev Gandhi Hanumantu to ensure there were no obstacles in providing services to the public.
