, who is on a two-day state visit to Hyderabad, called upon Muslims to shed sectarian differences and remain united against "enemies of Islam". In an interaction with Islamic scholars here on Thursday, he slammed the Western world for "

exploitation

" of natural and human resources in under-developed countries.

Hassan Rouhani also emphasized on age-old ties between the people of India and

Iran

in all spheres of life and sought closer ties. "India is a living museum of religion and diverse schools of thought and opportunities. We see temples, other places of worship and peaceful coexistence," he said.

In a meeting with

Muslim

religious leaders and scholars drawn from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Rouhani cautioned the Muslim world against their "enemies", who are projecting Islam as the religion of violence and terrorism.
