HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police are in the process of approaching a concerned court in Goa court in the next few days with a prisoner transit (PT) petition requesting for custody of Edwin Nunes, owner of a restaurant in NDPS Act.
Currently, Edwin is in the custody of Goa police, who have arrested him in connection with the death of Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat.
The alleged role of Edwin in drugs trade came to light after Hyderabad police nabbed Priteesh Narayan Borkar, an alleged drug peddler, who is accused of working for Edwin. Osmania Univesity police inspector L Ramesh Naik said that they are in the process to file the petition. Narcotics wing seized 20 ecstasy pills, 5 LSD blots, 4 grams of MDMA from Borkar last month.
