People do their bit for a greener city
HYDERABAD: Several green initiatives in the city marked World Environment Day on Tuesday. From planting trees to pledging to reduce plastic waste, the city saw the participation of people from all walks of life.

The drive took place near the administration building. The employees of KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, also administered an oath on avoiding use of plastic.

Heartfulness Institute
carried out a two-day tree plantation drive in association with Google employees and officer trainees of Telangana Forest Academy. The institute will plant over 300 plants of 150 rare and threatened species of typical rainforest trees.Rainforest Conservation of India
', Dr Ramakantha said, "for the third time in a row, Google India Team from Hyderabad is participating in the tree plantation drive on June 5 and 6 at Kanha Shantivanam.
