Manipur an example of BJP’s divisive politics, says Revanth
Hyderabad: TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday accused the BJP of following the erstwhile East India Company’s policy of ‘divide and rule’ in the country. “The BJP is trying to consolidate its position by fostering communal animosity in the country and violence in Manipur is an example. Everyone expected that PM Modi would come to parliament at least on the occasion of World Adivasi Day and give a statement on the Manipur issue. But he did not,” Revanth said in the debate on the no-confidence motion moved by INDIA Alliance in Lok Sabha. He asked Modi to tender an apology to the nation for what is happening in Manipur. “When Manipur was burning, the PM and Union home minister Amit Shah were campaigning for votes in Karnataka assembly elections,” he said. “The people of Karnataka rejected the attempts of the BJP to use the names of Lord Ram and Bajrang Bali for electoral advantage. Elections are more important for BJP than lives of people and atrocities being perpetrated against women in Manipur,” he alleged. Revanth termed National Democratic Alliance (NDA) as Nation Dividing Alliance and appealed to speaker to ensure the PM comes to the house and instils confidence in people of Manipur. Revanth said books with most lies in the world are BJP election manifestos.

BJP is in power for the last ten years. For nearly seventy years congress was ruling. Did they care to look at that impoverished child north east any time. BJp certainly nourished that region in many ways.Read allPost comment
