After the murder of Jayaram in Janaury last week at his Jubilee Hills house, Rakesh Reddy dumped the body on the roadside at Krishna district. During the subsequent probe, Rakesh Reddy was arrested and it was found that he had contacted a few cops after the murder. In his confession, Rakesh said that a cop had advised him to dump the body. West Zone cops grilled some officials, including then Ibrahimpatnam ACP Malla Reddy, then Raidurgam inspector Ram Babu and then Nallakunta inspector Srinivas.

“Based on the findings, the three officers have been placed on suspension pending inquiry,” ADG law and order, Jitender, told TOI. tnn
