Hyderabad: Wondering who conceived the idea of running a market from the premises of a junior college, the Telangana high court on Tuesday stopped Nalgonda collector from handing over 1.35 acres of government junior college in Devarakonda to the tahsildar for developing an integrated veg/non-veg market.
A bench of Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice N Tukaramji was hearing a PIL filed by advocate T Ravi Kumar who questioned the rationale behind the collector's action. The bench sought answers from the state by August 18 and directed that till then the college land cannot be alienated. TNN
