Four injured in house collapse

VIJAYAWADA: Four people were injured in a house collapse in Musunur village of Krishna district in the wee hours of Monday.
The victims were taken to a primary health centre at Nuzvid. According to information, the thatched house of T Chinnamma collapsed during midnight following heavy rain in the region. Chinnamma, her son-in-law Srinivasa Rao and two children suffered minor injuries.
In a related incident, two autos got crushed when boulders fell from the hill slopes in Vijayawada city early on Monday. However, no casualties were reported in the incident as the boulders did not tumble upon any of the houses located on the hill slopes.
Meanwhile, the municipal corporation officials asked the residents of the hill slopes to be cautious during the night time in view of the continuing rains in the city.
