Film dancer files plaint, cheating case against aspiring SI in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A woman working as a dancer in the film industry has lodged a complaint with Madhura Nagar police, alleging that an aspiring sub-inspector deceived her under the pretext of love and later sexually exploited her with false promises of marriage. The accused from Mahabubabad district is now facing a cheating case, which is currently under investigation, according to police officials.According to the police, the 28-year-old woman, a resident of Yousufguda, first met the accused, who is in his mid-30s, during her graduation. Their acquaintance soon turned into a romantic relationship, and they had been living together for the past eight years. However, every time she brought up marriage, he reportedly stalled, assuring her that they would wed once he cleared the police recruitment exam and secured a job.Frustrated by repeated delays, the woman travelled to Mahabubabad two months ago to confront his family. They, too, assured her that the marriage would take place. The accused man himself promised to marry her in Feb this year. However, he continued to evade her, raising further suspicions.Feeling deceived, the woman approached the Madhura Nagar police and lodged a complaint. Based on her statement, a cheating case was registered on Sunday, and an investigation is underway."A hunt is on to locate and apprehend the person at the earliest," said a police official.
