When state counsel Sarat Kumar told the court that she was not giving a statement to the police, the bench asked the authorities to treat her statement before the court as her complaint and basing on that the police were asked to register a complaint against the alleged offenders.
The bench closed the habeas corpus plea since the alleged detenue herself appeared before the court. However, since Chandramukhi is apprehending harm from some individuals, the police has been directed to provide security to her if she seeks the same during the campaign period.
