‘BRS should brace for backlash from Dalits’

Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said that instead of focussing on Congress minister KT Rama Rao should worry about the bac-klash the BRS will face from Dalits and other sections for demanding 30% commission in Dalit Bandhu and other schemes. Responding to KTR’s comment that the Congress in Karnataka was levying tax on people to fund the party for elections in Telangana, Revanth posted on X: “BRS MLC K Kavitha, is allegedly involved in Delhi liquor scam. The BRS is unable to run the state without selling land. BRS leaders should inform the people as to how many acres of government land have been sold and also those allotted to their real estate friends.” Neither KTR nor his father, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, will be able to stop the Congress from coming to power, he said.Reacting to KTR’s comments, Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said KCR and KTR’s agenda was “family first and the people last”. If the Congress is voted to power, the new government will dig out all the corruption cases and the guilty will go to jail, he added. At a meeting in Madhira, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka directed the party cadres to take the six guarantees announced by Sonia Gandhi to the doorsteps of the people.

BJP, BRS & Congress prepare models of governance for Telangana voters

As the assembly elections approach in Telangana, parties are presenting their models of governance to the voters. KT Rama Rao, working president of the BRS party and minister in Hyderabad, has stated that Palamuru, once known for migration, is now recognized as an irrigation district. He criticized the Congress for scams and claimed that the BRS is known for schemes. KTR urged people not to believe the Congress' guarantees, stating they have no warranty. He also mentioned the BRS's achievements in providing 24-hour power to the agriculture sector and predicted a hat-trick of wins in the next election. The Telangana government is planning to encourage oil palm cultivation in the state and aims to achieve 20 lakh acres of cultivation this year.

BRS names Jagadishwar Goud GHMC floor leader

Madhapur corporator Jagadishwar Goud has been appointed as the party floor leader in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) by BRS ahead of the assembly polls. The party did not appoint a floor leader earlier to avoid friction in the GHMC. Goud, who aspired for a ticket from Serilingampally, has now been appointed due to his crucial role as a corporator. In other news, Thailand's opposition party, Move Forward, has named Chaithawat Tulathon as its new leader after Pita Limjaroenrat's bid to become premier was blocked.
