BRS seeks nod to make presentation

Hyderabad: The BRS legislature party (BRSLP) on Tuesday placed an appeal before assembly speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to give them permission to make a presentation in the House on how its government in its nine-year tenure had managed the state’s finances and handled important sectors like enery and irrigation. A letter was sent to the speaker by former finance minister T Harish Rao saying that BRS was making this request as the Congress government is preparing to place several white papers on finance, irrigation and energy departments. Harish said his party was of the view that they should also clarify to the people what they had done since the current government would present only its point of view on various issues affecting the state. Senior officials have already been asked to prepare white papers with details of the last 10 years. TNN
