HYDERABAD: After a fresh round of speculation over change of guard in BJP Telangana, Union tourism minister G Kishan Reddy, state chief Bandi Sanjay and party affairs in charge Tarun Chugh on Wednesday, held separate press conferences, denied any such move.

Karimnagar MP and state chief Sanjay stated that speculation has been rife for over a year now and nothing happened. “It is part of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s conspiracy,” he added. It was rumoured that Kishan Reddy would replace Sanjay and the latter would get a cabinet berth.

Speaking to the media, Sanjay said: “I do not have any such information. You may seek clarity from our national chief JP Nadda. I will obey my party’s orders. Our cadre also got used to this kind of speculation and it has become routine,” he said. KCR, instead of looking into the affairs of his party, was bothered about other parties, he added.

Union minister G Kishan Reddy, who was the focal point of speculation, has denied it at a press conference in Delhi. Responding to a question, Kishan Reddy said: “I have no such information. There is no such plan yet.”

BJP Telangana affairs in charge Tarun Chugh said there was no truth in speculation over the change of guard. “The party will fight to defeat BRS in the next elections” he added.

Meanwhile, sources in the party said Sanjay got calls from central leaders, but details were not disclosed. The fresh speculation brought back focus on group politics in BJP.

The sources said Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender was reportedly satisfied over Y-category security provided to him, while Raj Gopal Reddy continued to stay put in Delhi after the duo met the party brass a few days ago.
