Baahubali director SS Rajamouli lauds Prasad Film Labs’ role in film's success

and K Vishwanath on Wednesday launched the 'Creative Mentors Film & Media School' at the Prasad Film Laboratories in Banjara Hills.

Rajamouli and Vishwanath inaugurated the school formally by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp. Addressing the gathering later Baahubali-fame director lauded the role played by Prasad Film Laboratories in the success of films made in the last 50 years.

"Prasad Film Labs contributed services in the success of many films and added that the Lab is always ahead of the rest in introducing the latest technology," said Rajamouli.

He sighted an example of when Baahubali was being made and he was looking for some technology which Prasad Film Labs didn’t have. "But,

made it a point to import the machinery withing 2 months and rendered service to the

movie," he added.

Vishwanath said that it was a proud moment for him to sit next to Rajamouli in the function.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Prasad recalled the contribution his father made to the film industry. He lauded Rajamouli and his family. "The entire family works for the film industry like the Raj Kapoor family," he said.

The film and media school was launched on the occasion of 110th birth anniversary of LV Prasad, a known producer, director and actor. He was a doyen and recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke award, the highest award for films in India. He founded

Prasads Group

in 1956 which include the Prasad Art Pictures, Prasad Studio, Prasads IMAX and LV Prasad Eye Institute.

The programs offered in the newly-launched school include direction, cinematography, script writing, editing and re-recording. These diploma programs' duration varies from 6 months to 18 months.
