AIMIM to contest Delhi polls, Owaisi slams BJP, AAP

HYDERABAD: AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi announced that his party will contest the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. The number of constituencies to be contested will be decided soon by the party's Delhi unit.

Owaisi criticised both BJP and AAP, alleging they are ideologically similar and follow Hindutva, with RSS being root of both parties. He labelled AAP govt as a ‘drama sarkar' and the Modi govt as ‘communal.'

Speaking on sops offered by AAP and BJP, Owaisi warned these benefits would end if ‘one nation, one election' policy is implemented, urging the people to realise this. He also claimed that garbage in Delhi is being dumped in areas inhabited by Muslims, while Dalit and Muslim neighbourhoods remain underdeveloped. On issue of religious matters, Owaisi criticised PM Modi's gesture of sending a ‘chadar' to Ajmer dargah.
