Sarang stuns Belagavi with high-octane airshow at ATS
Belagavi: The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) ‘Sarang’ helicopter display team put up a spectacular airshow on Friday at the Airmen Training School (ATS) premises in Sambra as part of the passing-out parade of the first batch of Agniveervayu personnel. ‘Sarang’, the world’s only five-helicopter display team, performed a series of aerial manoeuvres using indigenously developed ALH Dhruv helicopters, leaving the audience enthralled. Students watched in awe as the Air Force’s elite ‘Sarang’ team executed complex stunts with precision.
A total of 660 students, including 373 SSLC and 287 PUC students from various residential schools across the district, witnessed the event free of cost and enjoyed the air display. Zilla panchayat chief executive officer Rahul Shinde facilitated arrangements for the students to attend the show.
