Alnavar gets ₹2.2cr for repair of rds

Dharwad: PWD minister C C Patil has released an additional amount of Rs 2.15 crore for taking up road safety measures in the region. Union minister for parliamentary affairs Prahlad Joshi had written to the PWD minister asking him to release additional funds. Joshi said the amount has been released to take up safety measures on Khanapur-Talaguppa State Highway No.93 in Alnavar town limits to a distance of four kilometers. “Similarly, the works on development of a circle, road divider, and beautification in Kundgol town are being done at a cost of Rs 3.25 crore,” he said. Joshi said construction of good roads and maintaining them is the moral responsibility of the government and thanked chief minister and PWD minister for releasing the funds. tnn
