VP to visit Arunachal on Saturday

Itanagar: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar is set to visit Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday for a daylong trip, marking his second tour to the state since assuming office.Dhankhar had last visited the northeastern state in Feb this year to participate in Statehood Day celebrations.During his upcoming visit, Dhankhar will attend the 22nd Convocation of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) for the 2023-24 academic session. Later in the day, he is scheduled to address a special session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly before returning to the national capital.Meanwhile, assembly speaker Tesam Pongte on Thursday chaired the second sitting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the 8th legislative assembly to plan the agenda for the upcoming session on Nov 30 next. The meeting was attended by state parliamentary affairs minister Pasang D Sona, deputy speaker Kardo Nyigyor, and BAC members Nikh Kamin, Thangwang Wangham and Oken Tayeng.
