GUWAHATI: Ahead of the possible arrival of monsoon in the northeast during the first week of June, the northeastern states are set to witness heavy rains over this week because of other environmental factors, according to the
India Meteorological Department (
IMD).
Official sources at the IMD's Guwahati-based Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) told TOI on Tuesday that monsoon rains are expected to strike the northeast in the first week of June.
