Gunmen fire at UPPL youth wing office

KOKRAJHAR: Unidentified gunmen fired indiscriminately at the office of United People’s Party Liberal’s (

UPPL

) youth wing in Kokrajhar district in lower Assam, police said on Friday.


UPPL is an ally of the ruling BJP. The incident occurred at Halongbazar area at around 11.45 pm on Thursday when a few people were present at the office. However, no casualty was reported, a police official said. Police found several empty cartridges of AK-47 rifle from the spot.
