Just 13% have got booster jabs in Haryana

GURGAON: Over 20 lakh precaution doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in Haryana since the drive was rolled out on January 10 this year. According to the data on the Co-WIN portal, 1.52 crore people were eligible for booster doses in Haryana as on Monday, of whom just 13% have got the jabs.

The city has till date administered 5,00,398 doses to 20% of the eligible population. Recipients who have completed six months after taking both doses of Covid vaccine are eligible for this jab at present. Earlier, they had to wait for nine months. The numbers clearly show that people are not interested in taking booster vaccine shots. Meanwhile, Haryana has given first doses to 100% of its eligible population, while the second dose coverage is only 88%. tnn
