Gurgaon sees 103 new Covid cases, 243 in Haryana

GURGAON: The city reported 103 Covid cases on Tuesday, almost the same as Monday, 101. The positivity rate has also come down from 6.95% on Monday to 6.8%.
The number of active cases also dropped from 1,375 to 1,260 on Tuesday. A total of 14 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while the rest are in isolation at home. Moreover, the city recorded 218 recoveries.The health department officials said that 1,513 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
The city has added 9,176 cases so far in April as compared to 585 cases in March. The city saw 46 new cases in February, 47 cases in January earlier this year, 67 in December last year, 210 in November, 709 in October, and 1,356 in September.
Meanwhile, Haryana reported 243 new Covid cases on Tuesday as compared to 300 reported the previous day. The highest number of cases were reported in Gurgaon, followed by Panchkula (24), Ambala (20), and then Yamunanagar (14). Two Covid deaths were also reported, one each in Palwal and Nuh on Tuesday. The total number of active cases in Haryana is 2,902.
According to the health bulletin, the test positivity rate in Haryana is 4.01%. A total of 6,514 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The state has reported 10,739 deaths and 10.77 lakh patients have tested positive to date in Haryana.
