Covishield at 21, Covaxin at 5 session sites today

Gurgaon: The city will set up 27 government session sites for Covid vaccination on Saturday. Covishield will be given at 21 sites, Covaxin at five and Sputnik V at one. Moreover, health teams will visit 69 areas to carry out door-to-door vaccination.

A total of 8,703 people in the 18-44 age group and 1,195 people in the 45-plus category got inoculated on Friday while 27 healthcare workers and three frontline workers also got jabs. In all, 9,934 doses were administered.

Seven new cases in city

The city reported seven new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the caseload to 1,81,659, of which 60 are active. As many as 14 people also recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,80,674. A total of 57 patients are in home isolation. The recovery rate stands at 99.3%.

In the past 24 hours, the health authorities collected 3,419 samples for antigen and RT-PCR tests. Till now, 21,47,120 samples have been sent for testing, of which 19,62,042 returned negative while the results of 2,535 are awaited.
