Deputy commissioner Nishant Yadav said 40 teams have been formed for the verification of crop loss claims. “The remaining verification will be completed before Monday,” said Yadav.
Deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala on Saturday reviewed the progress of crop damage verification through video conferencing. He also reviewed the purchase of rabi crops at mandis of the state.
In Gurgaon, according to the administration, 10,000 farmers have uploaded details on the government’s ‘e-fasal kshatipoorti’ portal about crop damage.
Gurgaon has three mandis — one each at Pataudi, Sohna and Farrukhnagar
— for purchase of crops at the minimum support price (MSP). Till now, all three mandis together purchased 69,000 quintals of mustard from the farmers. Similarly, 1.5 lakh quintals of wheat have been purchased till now against the total purchase of 1.8 lakh quintals of wheat last season.
Ajay Yadav, national chairman of OBC Cell of Congress, alleged farmers are facing problems in uploading the details of crop damage as the portal is not working properly in many places. “The claims made by the government are in contrast with the reality on the ground,” Yadav said.
