AAP's South Goa candidate Elvis Gomes, who is also party president of the Goa unit, said that they kickstarted their campaign more than a month ago.

Pradeep Padgaonkar is the party’s candidate for North Goa. “We are highlighting environmental issues, degradation of culture of the state, misgovernance and corruption,” said Gomes, who was campaigning in Sanguem on Sunday.

Their manifesto, he said, will be out at a later stage. The delay in releasing manifesto, Gomes said, is deliberate. “We don't want other parties to copy our manifesto as they did in the last election.”

The AAP is yet to gain foothold in the state though it contested 2017 Goa assembly elections.

It is also contesting bypolls in three constituencies of Mandrem, Mapusa and Shiroda. It is yet to declare candidates for the bypolls.

“We have finalised candidates for Shiroda and Mapusa. We haven't finished that process for Mandrem constituency,” he said. The names will be declared as soon the state selection committee gives it's approval, he said.
