Man, dog hurt in car accident

Bicholim: The driver of a car and his pet dog were seriously injured when their car collided with an oncoming KTC bus on Friday.

The incident took place near the Narayan Zantye College of Commerce, Bicholim. Police said the driver was headed towards Sakhali. As he approached the slope near the college, he lost control of the car and collided into the oncoming bus, which was headed to Bicholim.

Onlookers successfully pulled out the driver before the car caught fire. However, the dog, which was rescued a little later was found in a serious condition. The man was rushed to the GMC in a critical condition. PSI Vijay Rane is investigating the case.
