Dessai takes charge as CCP commissioner

Panaji: Goa state infrastructure development corporation managing director Sanjit Rodrigues handed over his additional charge as commissioner of the corporation of the city of Panaji to newly-appointed Deepak Dessai.

As part of the handing over process, Rodrigues held a joint meeting with CCP officials and engineers and Dessai. On Friday, the government notified that it had transferred 17 officials, including Rodrigues, to new departments.

With the decision for the Smart City Mission ready to be announced by May-end, the new commissioner will have to learn the ropes quickly to try and efficiently implement the Panaji Smart City proposal.
