GHAZIABAD: Crucial evidence pertaining to the murder attempt on BJP functionary Brijpal Teotia was retrieved by UP Police on Saturday following questioning of three suspects who had been taken on remand from jail. On Saturday, the police had obtained the remand of Nishant Bhadoriya (26), Ram Singh (25) and Rahul Tyagi (27) for 16 hours from a local court.
Among the items recovered by the police on Saturday is the original ignition key of the Fortuner SUV used in the attack. A Splendor motorcycle used for a recce on Teotia's movements and a damaged mobile phone were also recovered.
The key was retrieved from Abupur village in Niwadi at the spot where the SUV had been abandoned by the attackers. The motorcycle and the damaged cellphone were recovered from Ram Singh's house in Ghaziabad.
According to police, so far more than 150 audio recordings pertaining to the plot to kill Teotia have been retrieved from the automatic voice recorders of mobile phones belonging to the attackers.
