GURGAON: A 32-year-old property dealer was allegedly shot dead by a group of assailants after an argument in Dabua on Sunday night. Preliminary investigation revealed that a monetary dispute may have been the reason behind the argument, police said.
Kunal Bhadana, a Faridabad-based property dealer, was at Masjid Chowk in Dabua along with some friends around 11.15pm on Sunday night when he was approached by a group of four men.
Bhadana’s brother Jyotendra identified two of the accused as Vijay and Billu, both residents of Sector 48 in Faridabad. He told cops that he rushed to the spot when he heard that the group had gotten into an argument with his brother.
“As I was approaching them, Billu had held Kunal's hands tightly and Vijay shot him in the chest. After the assault, the duo along with two of their unknown associates, fled in a white swift car,” he said.
Jyotendra and Kunal's friends rushed him to Asian Hospital in Sector 21 A, where he was declared dead on arrival.
“Only one round was fired at Kunal. The bullet pierced through his hand and entered his chest,” said Faridabad police spokesperson Yashpal.
According to police, Bhadana had gotten into some disputes with the accused over money related to his property business.
“The accused are on the run and our teams are trying to locate them. We will get to know about the exact motive behind the murder once we arrest them,” the spokespersons said.
A case was registered under sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC and Section 25 (illegal possession of firearms) of the Arms Act on Monday.
