Body of man found stuffed inside suitcase in Faridabad

FARIDABAD: An unidentified man's body was discovered on Tuesday afternoon, stuffed inside a suitcase and left on the side of the road, police said.

Around 1pm, information about a suspicious suitcase lying by the side of the Sector 28-29 Bypass was received, they said.

Police examined the luggage and discovered a man's half-naked body wrapped in a polythene bag with his hands and legs bound by a plastic rope.

The man appears to be between the ages of 28 and 30, they said.

No documents were found inside the suitcase for the man's identification, a senior police officer, adding efforts are being made to identify him.

The Crime Branch team has started the investigation, the officer said.

The body has been sent to the mortuary and an FIR has been registered in the matter at sector 31 police station, police said.
